How many images do I need?
Professional Photography is an investment and is still the main basis of the marketing media for every property sale and for rental properties too. How many images and the types of images you need for your property depends on a few factors:
- How big the property is
- Whether you want lots of detail shots
- Where you will be using the images
How big is your property?
More rooms need more photos - even a small house will usually need 25 images to tell its story properly. The 25 image package is where we start. There is also a 35 image package and a 50 image package for bigger properties.
Do you want detail shots?
When you are selling a house the detail shots are really useful if there are a lot of original features. Ornate fireplaces, premium light fittings, carpentry details such as on staircases and anything else that shows the unique characteristics of the house can be captured with detail shots. They also help to get across the lifestyle of living at the property. A quiet spot in the garden, a cosy armchair next to a wood burning stove or a roll top bath. Great for architectural details that show the quality of the build too.
Where will you use the images?
Most property portals such as Rightmove work best with landscape images so this is the standard for our shoots. If you want to post a lot of social media images to promote the property you may want to ask us to include some portrait orientation detail shots that can be posted on instagram, pinterest, etc.

Do I need anything extra?
Drone images are a great way to show the land included with a property and the surrounding landscape. They are a must have if the property has an acre or more of gardens and if it isn't bordered closely by neighbouring properties. Drone videos can also work well and are great to post on social media to grab the attention.
Floor plans are now a standard feature of property listings. Our plans are drawn on site with the help of a laser measure and room names can be discussed for the labels. Dimensions are shown on the finished floor plan helping would-be buyers understand the layout.
360° Virtual Tours are, in our opinion, the best way to remotely view a property online. Every room is featured from every angle so the property needs to be fully prepped before the shoot.
Twilights work best where there is outside space that is beautifully lit up in the evening. A patio area with outside lighting or a floodlit driveway.

A few quick things make a real difference before I arrive: Declutter and tidy if necessary, move cars off the drive if they're in shot, and pop the bins out of sight. Give the garden a tidy too, cut the grass and sweep up loose leaves. If you have patio furniture, put out the cushions

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book your service?
Once you have filled in this form and obtained your package price you can call or email to book your shoot.
How long will it take?
For images only the photography shoot will take around 2-3 hours onsite. Adding drone photos/video usually adds around an hour. Adding a floor plan will take up to an hour extra and a 360° Virtual Tour will take a couple of hours. You can choose to be there the whole time if you wish or you can let us in and we will leave the key when we have finished. Whatever you prefer. Twilights are obviously taken at dust so I usually arrive 30 minutes before and leave 30 minutes after sunset.
Do I need to be there?
No, you can leave a key in a safe place and we will follow your instructions for what to do with the key at the end. You may have a key safe where it can be left. If you prefer to be there the whole time that is fine too.
What happens if it is raining on the day?
If the weather will adversely affect the photo shoot we will simply reschedule. We want you to have great quality images and sometimes it's just best to wait for a better day. We need a dry day with very light cloud or brighter conditions. Blue skies can be added later. If the weather is unsuitable (dark clouds/rain) there is no charge to reschedule to a better day.
What will the final image size be?
Our image files will be around 3-8mb each. They have 3000 pixels on their longest side and this is above what is recommended for Rightmove, Airbnb and other online portals. This provides image files that are high enough resolution for any web use and for printing up to A4 size.
Do you include image retouching?
All our photos are digitally processed to get the best from them. We even include minor photo fixing in the price - this could be adding a blue sky to exterior images or getting rid of a few marks on a wall that is scheduled for redecorating. Please ask if you have any specific requirements.
When will I get my images?
We aim to process your images within 48 hours of the photo shoot. You will be emailed thumbnail size images and an invoice. Once the invoice is paid (you can do this online) we will send you the high resolution images by 'We Transfer' or a similar image transfer service.
How do I get my images?
Once payment has been made the high resolution images are sent to you by 'We Transfer'. This is a very popular file transfer service that sends an email to you with a download link. Internet access and an email address are required.
What can I use the photographs for?
The images can be used in any way you wish to promote your property. You can use them on your own website as well as on the property/holiday let portals and Airbnb. They can even be used in brochures if you wish. The image licence is non transferable and can only be used by you and any third parties using them on your behalf (i.e. to produce a brochure for you). Copyright is retained by us. This is standard industry practice.
Will you travel further than Norfolk?
We sometimes get asked to shoot a property outside Norfolk such as in Suffolk. Please get in contact by phone or email and we will be happy to discuss a quote.
