TWILIGHT
PHOTOS

Twilight photography has the 'wow!' factor and looks great on social media and anywhere else online.

The view you only get at Dusk

Twilight photography is still rare online. Most exterior shots are taken during the day, so if you've got proper twilight images of your property live, they stand out and get looked at more. It works particularly well on modern or eco-build houses, but older properties do just as well if the garden lighting is good, it creates that warm, inviting evening feel that daytime photos just can't show.

Is it right for your property?

This style works best on properties with strong kerb appeal. A landscaped garden helps, and outdoor lighting even more. I arrive around thirty minutes before sunset, so all your interior and exterior lights need to be on and ready by then too. Also, try to get all your vehicles off the property before I arrive so I can get set up because dusk won’t wait!

what you get

What's included with Twilight Photography?

You'll get three to four processed twilight images. I often blend multiple exposures to balance the interior and exterior light properly, and if the sky doesn't perform on the day, I can add a better one in afterwards. Twilight is usually added on to a photo package, though I may need to come back for a separate visit since it has to happen right at dusk. There's no extra mileage charge if it's booked alongside your main shoot. Pricing depends on the time of year, a summer sunset around 10pm costs more than a winter one at 4pm, so get in touch for a quote. If you only need twilight photography on its own, same applies, just ask. Once shot, the images are processed and sent to you digitally.
Drone photos are usually added on to the image package. See below to get a price for your package. If you only need drone images, please get in touch for a bespoke price.

Good to know for Twilight Photography

Weather-checked, worry-free

Clear skies or a bit of cloud are ideal, a little cloud at dusk often makes for the best sunsets, so don't worry if it's not perfectly clear on the day. And if the sunset itself doesn't put on a show, that can be added in later during processing, so you're not relying on the sky doing exactly the right thing on the night. Heavy, thick cloud is the one that causes real problems, it flattens the colour and affects the quality of the shots, so I'd reschedule at no extra cost rather than shoot in it. Same goes for rain, twilight photography just isn't possible in it.
