Find your own way round with a 360° Virtual Tour
A virtual tour does something photos and video can't: it lets the viewer walk through the whole property themselves, inside and out, and look wherever they like. A video tour is different, whoever made it decides the route, so the viewer is often still none the wiser about the layout after they see the video .
With a 360° tour youe decide the route you take, every angle of every room is there to explore. You can explore the property from every hallway and experience it from every direction taking different route each time, and get a proper feel for the place without setting foot in it.
The 360° Virtual Tour will appear as an image on your website and when the view clicks on it the tour will open in another window and they can begin their roiute around the property. Click on this image to see a tour in action.
when to use
Is it right for your property?
360° Virtual Tours work best on properties that are freshly renovated or already in a staged or very tidy condition. With photos, I can frame around clutter or a messy corner, on a virtual tour there's nowhere for it to hide, so the whole property needs to be extremely tidy before I arrive. You can't follow me around moving things on this one, it just doesn't work!
On the day, I shoot with a 360° camera mounted on a pole, positioned in the middle of each room (sometimes moved around for bigger spaces). It takes two 180° images per position, I start the timer and step out of the room so I'm not in shot, then the two images get stitched into one 360° view. Once every room's been shot this way, it all gets joined together into the finished tour and any details like an image gallery from your photo shoot and other details about the property such ass a location map can be added.
This tour is of a holiday let in North Norfolk, take a look around.
what you get
What's included with 360° Virtual Tours?
Pricing is based on the size of the property, which is why I'll ask for that upfront. You can add interactive tooltips to the tour too, handy for things like built-in appliances a viewer wouldn't otherwise spot, a little pop-up can point out the built-in dishwasher hiding behind a cupboard door, for holiday lets this is especially useful. Your own branding, logo and colours, can be added to the tour's interface as well, and I can link it back to your website, which works well for holiday let companies. We can even add a gallery of images from your photo package and a location map to help your customers understand the location.
The finished tour is delivered as a link, hosted by me, with the first year's hosting included in the price. After that it's £50 a year to keep it live on my hosting, or I can hand it over as a zip file for you to host yourself. Property sales usually don't need to renew, most sell within the year, but holiday lets and Airbnbs tend to want to keep theirs live, so I'll invoice annually for hosting if that's what you choose.
On site, the shoot itself takes around two hours. Building the tour afterwards takes longer than processing a normal set of photos, so allow up to a week before it's ready to view.
