A cosy log house near Southwold in Suffolk
I was asked to photograph this home by an estate agent I regularly work for. It is quite unusual as it is a log house and there is no getting away from that fact when you are inside as the logs are in full view in most rooms making for a wonderfully cosy feeel.
My aim was to get across the warm feeling and the detail of the logs while also showing the views to the lush greenery in the garden. This is a property that really benefitted from my High Dynamic Range – HDR photography. With a standard one expoure composition there is no doubt some of the details would have been lost in the shadows and highlights but here I was able to retain all the detail in the interior photography.
